Toshiba debuts AC100 netbook with massive standby battery life
Continuing with its 25th anniversary of laptop sales, Toshiba has premiered the AC100 netbook - the company’s first Android-based machine.
The 10.1-inch netbook is a highly portable machine, weighing just 1.9-pounds and boasting a staggering seven days of standby battery life. If you’re working consistently, expect up to eight hours at a time per full charge.
Otherwise, the Toshiba AC100 looks to be a fairly standard machine, with only 512MB of DDR2 memory and a 1,024 x 600 resolution on that 10.1-inch TruBrite, LED-backlit display. Here’s what else the AC100 includes:
- NVIDIA Tegra 250 processor
- Android 2.1 OS
- Up to 32GB SSD
- 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth v2.1 +EDR
- Optional 3G
- 1.3-megapixel webcam
- SD/MMC card reader
- Connectivity: USB 2.0, Mini USB, HDMI, Audio-out/Microphone-in combo
