Google Ventures has reportedly invested in a little-known payment services company called Corduro.

Corduro's Web site says little more than that the company provides payment services for Internet, mobile and traditional retail transactions. It offers a branded gateway that merchants can use to accept credit card payments online.

Its Web site is otherwise mostly blank, with the filler words "insert text here" populating most pages, including the About Us and the frequently asked questions pages.

The investors page, however, contains a paragraph describing Google Ventures.

A number of media outlets began covering the investment on Monday after Google Ventures reportedly announced the deal during a press event.

Neither Google nor Corduro immediately responded to requests for comment. It's unclear how much Google Ventures invested in the company.
